Parents cover your ears and lock your doors, Directioners across the world are going wild with the release of One Direction’s third album “Midnight Memories.” Monday, November 25 was a day millions across the world have waited for and I have to say, the boys delivered.

No one would have expected these young teenage boys, who formed back in July of 2010 on X Factor UK, to top the billboard charts and accomplish as much as they have. The British-Irish boy band consists of Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik.

The band has accomplished and made their mark ever since the day they were formed. They have received two BRIT awards, the first for their debut song “What Makes You Beautiful” back in 2011 only shortly after being signed and releasing the single. They also won a New Musical Express (NME) award, two Kid’s Choice awards, four MTV Video Music awards, all nine awards they were nominated for at the 2012 Teen Choice awards, and both awards they were nominated for at the American Music Awards.

Their three albums are “Up All Night,” “Take Me Home,” and now “Midnight Memories.” I’m not quite sure what these boys are doing, but whatever it is they’re doing it right. With every album you can hear the new development in their voices and their sound has a subtle change as they go along, but still sticks true to what we know them for.

“Best Song Ever” was released earlier this year to back up their “This Is Us” movie. Next is “Story Of My Life” in which the video recreated pictures from when the boys were younger and left many of their fans feeling very emotional.

Midnight Memories, the ultimate edition, contains 18 tracks. For me, those were 18 tracks that had me dancing and serenading my cats because I was so excited and freaking out. I particularly like the single “Midnight Memories” which has a slight edge to it and really kind of spices up their sound. They still have their slower songs as well, though. The boys themselves even helped along with the lyrics to 12 of the songs.

There is no stopping this band. They keep growing; they started off as the young teenage boys from 16 to 18 and are now entering their twenties, and their fans are sticking right by their sides supporting them every step of the way. I think this album is perfect and everything I expected for it. I highly recommend getting the ultimate edition to get those 4 bonus tracks; it’s really worth a few extra bucks.

Close your eyes, and let the sounds of One Direction fill your ears. They’ve really outdone themselves this time.
