“Carrie” is a supernatural horror film directed by Kimberly Peirce (“Boys Don’t Cry”), with Chloë Mortez (“Kick-Ass”) in the titular role and Julianne Moore (“Boogie Nights”) as Carrie’s mother, Margaret White. The supporting cast includes Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, and Alex Russell. “Carrie” is the third adaptation of Stephen King’s novel of the same name.

At first I didn’t have high expectations for “Prisoners.” I turned out to be pleasantly surprised with the plot and the chemistry between the two lead actors, Jake Gyllenhaal (“October Sky,” “Donnie Darko”) and Hugh Jackman (“X-Men” film series, “Les Miserables”).
