Apple just seems to keep coming up with new things to surprise us. The successful iPhone 5 just wasn’t enough for these over-achievers. Released on Sept. 25, 2013, the iPhone 5s was a pretty big hit in my opinion, even though it may not have been as much of a success as the iPhone 5, it still had a pretty good upcoming.

The elegant, classy look of the iPhone 5s is technology of the future. It sets up stepping stones for Apple to continue developing greater upgrades to their phones, and only improving them as they create more and more. Even though the iPhone is remarkably thin, it still holds advances that were previously unimaginable.

Adding onto the already futuristic phone, Apple now added the technology to recognize a fingerprint (Touch ID) to the new iPhone 5s. Personally, I think this is pretty remarkable, and it works just about every single time you use it. A phone that is able to read your fingerprint and allow you to unlock your phone? That’s something that’s pretty sophisticated feature to add to a phone, but Apple did an excellent job with that process.

Compared to the iPhone 5, the iPhone 5s has a bit processor consisting of a 64-bit dual core processor. When using the iPhone 5, which I had previously before the iPhone 5s, sometimes my iPhone 5 would lag when I was opening up apps, and become slow as I would use it for long periods of time. However, the iPhone 5s is remarkably speedier than the older model. The iPhone 5 only has a 34-bit dual core, making the iPhone 5s a much more powerful cellular device, and trust me, when you use it you can easily tell the difference.

High quality pictures are the only type of pictures that you will receive when it comes to the iPhone 5s. Compared to the 5, I found that my phone had a difficult time focusing in on pictures, and when zoomed in, forget it because seeing the picture would be basically impossible because everything was beyond blurry. Now, with the new iPhone, the picture is taken quickly, the camera focuses in a speedy fashion, and when zoomed in, the photo stays just about the same quality. The drastic change of quality from the cameras was the right call made by Apple.

Overall, the iPhone 5s is probably the best phone Apple has put out on the market so far. The sleek look of the iPhone 5s, which comes in black, white and gold, made me fall in love with it when I first laid eyes on the phone. If you’re looking for a new phone, and you’re willing to pay a few extra bucks, then I 100 percent recommend you invest in buying the iPhone 5s.
